Fabletics began as an online women’s casual athletic wear company. By expanding into brick and mortar, it extended its reach to new customers while also using physical stores as a showroom for their product. A unique identity for Fabletics was developed by staking out a classic and minimalist store that allowed the products to show off their high energy appeal. Making the store fade into the background required a control of the color, textures and lighting. The store is held together by a balance between light whites and warm bronzes. The textures, including the floor tile and wall coverings, are reminiscent of nature and inspire a connection back to Fabletics’ original beginnings in the yoga studio. While the brand has evolved beyond the gym, the relaxed zen-like tones of the store design evoke this history.
