Revitalizing an existing shopping center.
The revitalized Cedar Center North shopping center encompassed best building placement, reconfigured traffic entrances, and pedestrian friendly walkways. Water retention and drainage concerns were resolved with additional landscaping and a bio-swale. Modular brick from local suppliers enhance the architectural elements with contrasting and alternating geometric forms.
This remodel of Cedar Center South challenged the traditional notion of strip center by creating an enhanced street rhythm. The streetscape is made more dynamic by breaking down the building to a more human scale. The design further humanizes the shopping experience with a sophisticated palette of white and neutrals that enhance the breakdown of the scale of the building so the shopping experience is more intimate and personal.
