With its modern design and vibrant mix of offerings, Mill Station is redefining the retail experience in the heart of a growing residential area.
Differentiating spaces for a visually impactful purpose
Mill Station offers multiple, exterior-facing strip malls and stand-alone buildings with major anchor brands surrounding such as Costco, Lowes, and AMC. Intentional design choices to create material transitions and height variations on the exterior façade offer a visually interesting space with an individualized tenant feel. Tenants collaborated with the team to create a modern yet functional space that met their needs.
Creative design solution for water removal
A unique feature to this project is the water drainage solution for the metal canopy attached to the buildings. To keep the design aesthetic while avoiding water runoff on customers below, rain was collected and piped through each building’s water management system to the offsite storm water retention center. This creative solution to water drainage allowed designers to maintain the integrity of their modern facades.
