Design Masonry, Inc. is one of the leading masonry contractors in California and had outgrown their existing modular offices. This new office building is located on the company’s existing site in an industrial zone with aging single-story warehouses and light industrial buildings along the Santa Clara River.

The client wanted to develop a project that addressed their space needs but, most importantly, identified their brand and was welcoming to clients. The space requirements were to accommodate their management and senior team, have adequate open work areas for their teams of estimators and construction managers, and establish a control point for administrators to manage the work and schedules. We provided conceptual design, design development, interior design, construction documents, and construction administration services for the project.

The client expressed a vision of an industrial style “old firehouse” feel for the interiors. Interior finishes included exposed brick, concrete, steel and wood beams as well as an industrial furniture system by Iron Age furniture.
